In order to develop their internal communications strategy, a role has been newly created within this nationally recognised research organisation.
Reporting into the head of corporate communication, the post holder will be expected to make a significant contribution towards the development of an internal communications plan. They will ensure that best practice and message consistency are relayed through a developed network of contacts and champions amongst a diverse range of stakeholders including regional offices and other cross-organisational bodies.
The post represents a great opportunity for a competent, experienced communications professional to create and progress communication policies, channels, tools and processes. In addition to this, the internal communications manager will be expected to set strategy for the corporate website, maintain content and promote it's use internally.
The post holder will have had previous stakeholder communications experience preferably in an academic environment, as well as proven strategy development and delivery. Interest in and knowledge of biomedical research is a must, and some HR/change communications experience would be desirable but is not essential.
