The Medical Research Council (MRC) is a publicly funded organisation dedicated to improving health through world-class medical research. Working closely with the NHS and UK Health Departments, they support an entire spectrum of medical sciences within their own units and institutes based in universities and hospitals throughout Africa and the UK.

Consequently, the MRC has a wide range of internal stakeholders to support, including grant holders, advisory groups and scientific boards, as well as local, regional and internationally based staff.
