Usually Spinning Around falls in love with Nike spots. These latest two, however, aren't really working.
The Throwdown spot, while being obvious and cute as different sportspeople throw down their moves, just feels a bit disjointed and bitty. You can't help wondering why there wasn't a way that they could have been brought together in some form of proper "faceoff" between the different sports. As it is, it just doesn't make it for me.
On the other hand, the Black Mamba film is self-aggrandising, contrived, unspectacular (that might be a YouTube thing, could be a different in a cinema of course), while at the same time trying to be amazing, remarkable and self-effacingly comic. Ugh.
What do you think?
